TAR Technologies is a Sydney-based traffic engineering consultancy established in 1998. The company provides services at all stages of the planning and implementation process including feasibility and pre-feasibility studies, strategic planning, accident investigation and prevention. Expert witnesses can be supplied for crash simulation cases, public consultation exercises and presentations to committees and meetings.

​The company has a number of transport planning, modelling, and analysis tools such as EMME/2 and SIDRA, and is the developer and distributor of TRACON, a traffic engineer’s toolbox. TRACON includes the following software: transit lane evaluation; environmental capacity; bus stop locations; turn bay length analysis; pedestrian delay and queues; Intersection Turning Movement estimator; and Pedestrian accident risk.
